As required by the Utah Division of Risk Management, all Emery County School District employees who drive a district vehicle must complete the Defensive Driver online training course. Please provide a copy of current defensive driver certificate and driver's license to the ECSD Transportation office.
To complete the online training, please read the instructions below, then click here: Defensive Driver Training to login and complete the training.
Instructions:
After clicking on the link above, you will be taken to the State of Utah's Risk Management training page.
Below the tutorial video, click on the blue button that says "Enter the Portal" in the box on the left, called "Educational & Independent Agencies". This will take you to the Utah Learning Portal.
Please sign in and complete the training.
If this is your first time logging in, please create a new account by clicking on the gray "Sign Up" button in the Utah Learning Portal box.
When creating a new account, the security key word is: emery
Once you have logged in, click on "Defensive Driver Training" to begin the course.
After you have successfully completed the training, please email your certificate to Jenny Durrant at jennyd@emeryschools.org.
